Status IAIN Ar-Raniry Become Official State Islamic University (UIN)

BANDA ACEH - State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Ar-Raniry Darussalam, Banda Aceh finally officially changed its status to the State Islamic University (UIN) Ar-Raniry, after the issuance of Presidential Decree (Decree) No. 64 of 2013 dated October 1, 2013.

Ar-Raniry university's rector, Prof. Dr. Farid Wajdi Ibrahim, MA through staff especially Saifullah Isri, MA in a press release on Friday (11/10) said the regulation was signed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono ( SBY ) has been received, Thursday (10/10), in the Office of the Secretary of the Cabinet Jakarta.

"Changes in the status of IAIN Ar-Raniry into UIN is a special gift for Campus Hate Jantong Acehnese even 50 years old, on October 5, 2013," he said.

Farid added, UIN Ar - Raniry Aceh is the State Islamic University 7th in Indonesia after UIN Sunan Syarif Kasim. "Thank God, Ar - Raniry UIN UIN Aceh is the 7th in Indonesia, which together with the UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya set into UIN to - 8, " he explained.

Rector said, starting from October 1, 2013, all relating to the name and status as well as both fixed and mobile assets including students, faculty, and employees automatically become an asset IAIN Ar-Raniry UIN.

"Praise to God, the golden anniversary of IAIN Ar-Raniry managed to carve out an important history in the development of identity, namely the change in status to the university," said Farid, who is also Chairman of the Rector 's Forum this PTAIN in Indonesia.

UIN as leader of Ar-Raniry, Farid thanked the President, the minister and RB , Ministry of Religious Affairs, Kemendikbud, the Government of Aceh, the committee changes into UIN IAIN Ar-Raniry and all agencies / institutions both public and private, as well as to all Acehnese are together to support and advocate for change status to UIN.

According to him, Ar-Raniry UIN will be unveiled on the 50th anniversary of the peak of IAIN Ar-Raniry in Senate Open Meeting , along with a series of events to welcome the Golden Jubilee of IAIN Ar-Raniry, including Ar-Raniry Alumni Gathering, cyber lauching UIN Ar-Raniry, various competitions and prize distribution.

It is said, in welcoming the 50th anniversary of IAIN Ar-Raniry, the committee has prepared a series of activities, among which has been and ongoing scientific work competitions national, international seminars, football, and on Sunday, October 20 will be held happy family leisurely hike for public and all employees IAIN, tug of war, various competitions of children, donor blood.

He also mentioned the new faculty will be opened planned starting next year, including the Faculty of Economics and Business Islamic, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Social ), Faculty of Psychology and Counseling, and the Faculty of Science and Technology.
