Targets 100 New Polytechnics Until 2015

MINISTER of Education and Culture (Education ) Mohammad Nuh targeting the establishment of 100 new polytechnic until 2015, as an effort to meet Indonesia's needs millions of skilled manpower.

"Therefore, we will prepare skilled manpower that will be required in due course. Way, we will increase the capacity of existing universities, but we also would set up new polytechnics, " he told AFP in Sampang, Madura, East Java, on Sunday (11 - 11-2012).


After laying the first stone Polytechnic Madura (Poltera) in Sampang, he explains the new polytechnic is ramped access options for college admission and meet the shortage of skilled labor."Equally important, improved distribution of colleges that do not spread in the big cities, so we set up new polytechnics in the East Java in Sampang (middle), Banyuwangi (east), and Madison (west)," he said.


Nationally, he said, it will set up a polytechnic at 3 - T region that is outermost, isolated, and poorest , of whom Sangihe, and Merauke. "To meet the shortage of skilled workers`` it, we are planning the establishment of 100 polytechnic until 2015," he said.


Associated with the establishment of polytechnic budget, the Education Minister said it would be allocated in the state budget, because the budget for education in the state budget has increased."If any polytechnic require 100 billion, then to 100 polytechnics will be required budget Rp10 trillion," he said.
